Ari Kristinn Jónsson
President, Reykjavik University
Ari received his PhD degree in artificial intelligence from Stanford University in 1997. After graduation, he worked for 10 years at NASA Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley, developing new technology for space exploration.
In 2007, he joined Reykjavik University, first as the dean of the school of computer science, then as the university's president for more than 11 years.
He is active in innovation and entrepreneurship, contributing to government policy and serving on the boards of both startup companies and support organisations.
